Description

We are seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents at Cherrycroft who offer residential living to users who have mild to moderate learning difficulties. They require an individual who is conscientious and committed to delivering a high quality, person centred care and support service. Experience is not necessary as we support our staff with excellent training opportunities. It is equally important for us that you are approachable, caring and compassionate. A Waking Night Support Worker will include:

  • Delivering a high level of care and support for residents, ensuring their dignity and independence is maintained
  • Providing support to residents to enable them to maximise their own potential and independence
  • Assisting and encouraging residents to integrate into the community and become an active member
  • Building strong working relationships with residents, their families/guardians and colleagues

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards

The role will require working 30 hours one week and 40 the next on a rolling basis.
