Deputy Manager required

The Regard Group are a national company and provide accommodation and care to people with learning disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviours across the UK.

Deputy Manager for 37.5 hours per week for residential home based in Bobbing, near Sittingbourne

 Qualifications / skills/ qualities required:

  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities essential.
  • At least one year experience leading shifts in a care home/supported living scheme/similar schemes
  • NVQ/QCF level 3
  • Supervising junior staff experience preferable but training can be provided
  • Drivers preferred but not essential.

Brief description of duties:

  • As the deputy manager, you'll work closely with the registered manager.
  • You'll manage and monitor the achievement of care delivery KPI's
  • Support the registered manager to ensure that the home is meeting regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Ensure the care provided is designed around each client
  • Ensure that each customer has an assessment of care, risk assessment and care plan reflective of their individual needs.
  • Staff management - Manage conduct, absence, grievance and capability issues
  • Shift leading including medication administration and distribution of duties to support staff.
  • Supervising junior staff on a monthly basis.
  • Supporting service users with daily activities and routines.
  • Record keeping in regards to service user care and Health and Safety.
  • Administrative support to management
  • Knowledge of Essential Standards of Quality and safety
