We are looking to fill the post of a Support Worker, for a residential home, located in Birchington, Kent

Springfield House is a 10 bedded Service, providing accommodation and essential services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and challenging needs.

Job Role

To support individuals; and enabling then to realise their hopes, dreams & aspirations.
 To work as part of an established team, promoting the aims and values of the company
 To follow management instructions, to essentially provide a high quality of service

Brief description of duties:

To actively engage with and follow individual’s support plan, to enhance their skills

To encourage and enable individuals to make informed choices.
To be aware and adhere to all Company Policies & Procedures
Working in partnership with colleagues, and other professionals supporting an individual
Maintaining & Recording of care given to an individual.
Willingness to attend training requirements as part of their professional development, including NVQ /QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care

Qualifications / skills/ qualities required:

Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and mental health is an advantage but not essential
Experience of supporting & managing people who exhibit challenging behaviour 
NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care is a preferable 
Drivers preferred but not essential.
