We are looking for Support Workers for our Supported Living service at Connexions in Camborne, Cornwall.

This service specialises in supporting people who require support to make choices and decisions in their lives.

Using outcome focused care and support, the team work with each person to enable them to make sure that the decisions they make are self-determining and result in enabling and encouraging them to have the confidence in making choices to enhance and further their daily living skills.

Experience is preferred but not essential as full training is provided.

The position requires working as part of a team to support service users to maximise their full potential.

The service provides 24-hour background core support; therefore various shifts will be required.

Full and part-time roles available.

Job Role

• To support individuals and enabling them to realise their hopes, dreams and aspirations.

• To work as part of a team, promoting the aims and values of the company.

• To provide high quality service and adhere to management instruction.

Brief description of duties:

• To actively engage with and follow individual’s support plan, to enhance their skills

• To encourage and enable individuals to make informed choices.

• Working in partnership with colleagues and other professionals supporting individuals

• Maintaining & recording of care for individuals.

• Willingness to attend training requirements as part of your professional development, including NVQ/QCF L2 in Health & Social Care.


• Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health would be an advantage.

• NVQ/QCF L2 Health & Social preferable, along with a willingness to work towards NVQ.

• Drivers preferred but not essential.
